I paid a little more for a room at the rear overlooking the garden/courtyard. The hotel is situated quite centrally and I thought this might prove to be a quieter experience. It did. I had a great nights sleep, on a very comfortable bed. There's a quite secure car parking area on the hotel grounds at the rear, which made for peace of mind. The hotel is quite old and I wouldn't expect perfection when it comes to some of the fittings. It was adequate and I enjoyed my time there. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location made for an easy exploration of local sights and restaurants, on foot. The breakfast was superb too. Overall a good stay that I would recommend.

We stayed here 25 years ago, and were pleased to find the hotel still going so well. The couple who run it were lovely, and very welcoming. The room was comfortable, a good size and very clean. The bathroom was also large, & equipped with all you need. The grounds were great for walking our dog, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby for an evening meal. Parking our car in the grounds was easy and very secure. The breakfast was superb, and very generous. We enjoyed our stay, and will be back!

Lovely quaint hotel. It's a little old, but that adds to the charm. It is just a few hundred metres from the historic centre, with several restaurants. It's clean and there's a private car park. Breakfast was good.

We enjoyed the breakfast. Good selections, fresh soft-boiled eggs! Nice ground for walking around outside the hotel. We were able to self check-in upon late arrival.

Good breakfast, renovated bathroom with good shower, our doggy was welcome both in the room and at breakfast, beautiful park behind the hotel to walk the dog, and good restaurants around the corner

Great location with private parking made extra safe with the gates being locked over night. Perfect for motorbikes. Owner/manager was friendly, welcoming and happy. The room was fine and much better than the star rating might suggest. Short walk to town. Breakfast was really nice and good value.

Secure parking, quiet, set in a very large garden - great if you have a dog, central location, an excellent restaurant 100 metres way. Good value for money.

The hotel was a marvellous old building, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Air conditioning worked a treat, thank goodness as it was pretty hot when we arrived.

Nice, clean, quiet, comfortable. Handy for town, good restaurant next door. Breakfast was good. Secure car park. Nice gardens.
